An Early start to SUMMER?

There has not been time to post an update in the past few weeks because we have been out doing all things SUMMER!

The park, the pool, bikes, chalk ... is it really MARCH in Michigan? After record shattering temps for the past 10 days we feel so spoiled! Our trees are 6 weeks ahead of schedule and it honestly feels like we hardly had a winter this year! It's amazing :)!

I haven't pulled out my camera much at all, but here's a few from the first few nice days!

8 Months!

You...

Have a tooth! Your first tooth cut through 2 weeks ago! Bottom left! :) It came through with no real issues!

You survived your first big injury! Which came at the hands of your big brother! He accidentally hurt your shoulder in attempting to "help" you roll over. We were thankful that once it was back in place you seemed to recover quickly. It was a scary, painful experience! Sorry buddy!!

You still have a was to go before you learn how to crawl! You are making more effort, but it will still be a LONG time!

You love ME :). And I adore you!!! However, I can't hold you as much as you want in the past few weeks! You are definitely in an attachment phase and it often leaves you crying while I try to accomplish a task I HAVE to have two hands for!

It physically pains your big sister to hear you cry :). She cannot let you do it. If she hears you she will immediately drop what she's doing to help you! Shaelyn loves you and you think she's pretty great too!!

Your favorite toys are balls and more balls!! It's just about the only thing that holds your interest! You are most content when I sit you in a pile of 15 balls!

You have a few tricks...

You clap, wave and give high fives!

You are a great eater! The same week I started baby food you started some finger foods. Figuring it out immediately you are loving the independence!

You still nurse 4x a day.

You take 2 naps and sleep from 7-7!

You love to be out and about! You are so content when we are out and about- even if we are pushing you from your normal schedule you roll with it! I am so thankful for your laid back spirit!

You fill each day with joy!!

Happy 31st Birthday to my amazing husband! I am so blessed to be married to such an incredible man! I am so thankful for all the ways he loves me and for what an amazing dad he is! I love that we've been celebrating birthdays together for the last 13 years ... can't wait for all this year will hold!

What a difference a year makes! Here are the kids with Matt on his 30th ... It's amazing to think that we didn't even know Stennson at this time last year!

McLleyton picked the theme he was sure Matt would want a Hoosiers basketball cake! :) So we tried!! Monreau thought I was almost as good as Uncle Trey :)!

Daddy daughter dance...

Shaelyn's school had a Daddy Daughter Dance last week! The girls had a lot of fun getting dressed up and they always love to be with their daddy! He took them out for ice cream afterwards and had a little conversation with them about going to a dance with a boy when they are older... we were laughing at their responses and thoughts :) ... and cherishing these sweet years while they are still little!!

7 Months...

I better hurry or my sweet 7 month old will be 8 MONTHS!!! Ahhh :) I'm playing catch up!

At 7 months...

Not much is new :)

You are my slowest baby to move!! But, we are not complaining about that!

You are content to just be!

You sit and play and make no moves to start crawling! I am pretty sure you will not be crawling before 9 months!!

This week you started baby food! Yes, very late, but I finally got around to making it and you love it! You seem thrilled to have some flavor and have been enjoying all your veggies! You have also mastered your sippy cup! Such a big boy!

You are wearing 12-18 month and 18-24 month size clothes! About to outgrow your size 3 diapers! But, you have the smallest little feet! Clearly the Jonker gene missed you on that one :) They are super cute!

At the moment you hate to be alone! If you are left in a room alone you scream and scream like you're hurt. I know it's just a phase and we're ready for it to be done :).

You nurse 4x a day!

You take 2 naps. The morning one is sometimes missed or taken in your car seat. You afternoon one is usually from 1 to 3 or 4pm.

You are in bed by 7pm.

You are loved and adored!! You have 3 siblings constantly bringing you toys, entertaining you, kissing you and making you laugh (and occasionally cry :)).

We are so thankful for the sweet spirit you bring into our family!!

Where all your dreams come true... DISNEY!!

We had an awesome day at Disney's Magic Kingdom! The kids were so excited and had so much fun! We arrived at 9 and left just before 7pm. Our kids put in a 10 hour day and we did it all ... and they LOVED it!!

From It's a Small World to meeting Micky and Minnie!! It was fun to see what made each one excited! For Shaelyn it was the rides! She loved the Tea Cups (so she did it 5x :))! Monreau loved meeting the Princesses and McLleyton could not choose his favorite there was just so many new, fun experiences!! Stennson did a lot of rides, took a nap in the front pack and a 2 hour nap in his stroller! :)
