Smiles and 8 hours!!

There is so much to update...but I just can't seem to find the time! :) So, pictures will have to do today! They say they are worth a thousand words..right?

As you can see McLleyton is smiling now...lots and is such a happy little guy! He is doing great and we were celebrating this week because he slept through the night :) (once!). He has made the switch from getting up 2x to 1x and it is quite delightful! He is eating around 8pm and going until about 3 or 4am and then back down until 7am. He has done it for the past 10 nights! It's hard to believe he is already 7 weeks old!! He is starting to "talk" a lot and the girls keep me informed on the "words" he is saying. Today he said "door" and "more" :).

Funny story of the day...When McLleyton was getting fussy- Monreau came over to him and said "No whining little brother, Mommy will put you in time out." I happily reminder her five minutes later..."no whining little girl or mommy will put you in time out." :)

More soon!

(I know I'm totally biased, but I do think he's pretty adorable :))

Smiles for daddy! I love all his dimples :)

"Come on Little Buddy..."

My sweet little boy may never understand the meaning of personal space...because so far he has never experienced it! He is constantly getting smothered with love from his sisters. Shaelyn really can't get enough of him and if he takes a good nap she'll ask me several time if we can wake him up because she "misses him." She keeps me laughing because she talks "baby talk" with him all day long and will repeat any line she has her myself or another adult use with him. I think she's pretty convinced that she is his second mommy, she is such a good helper with him! Monreau is also very in to him and tries to duplicate what she sees Shaelyn do. Of course, it is not as gentle, but she has really done great with him.

Today, as I was picking up the kitchen, McLleyton was playing under his Gymini and Monreau was sitting next to him. I was half listening to her talk her baby talk with him when suddenly I realized what she was saying...she was repeating "come on little buddy, open up and eat your little snack...come on little buddy." It took a minute for it to register that she was eating pretzels and was most likely trying to share them. I ran over and sure enough there was McLleyton licking his lips and grimacing at tasting his first snack :). I immediately checked his mouth to see if there was a pretzel in there and then turned to Monreau. I'm sure she could tell from my body language he wasn't supposed to have a pretzel- so with the cutest little look on her face she said "Sorry, Mommy...I guess he doesn't really like pretzels any ways, he didn't want to eat it." I held in my laughter, explained he could ONLY have milk and then rescued McLleyton from his "caring" big sister! Oh, life as number 3...what a loved little boy!! :)

Newborn pics!

We just got back from 10 fun days at my parents cottage with my whole family! The weather was amazing and the kids had SO much fun! It may take us all a week to catch up on the sleep we missed out on, but it was totally worth it!! :) All the kids (11 of them!) got along great and spent hours and hours swimming and playing. It was fun to see how much everyone has grown up in a year and to see the three new babies we've been blessed with this year! I have about 500 pictures from the week that I need to edit, but once I get around to it I'll be sure to post some!

My friend Laura took pictures of McLleyton a few weeks ago and so I thought I'd share a few of those! He has already grown and changed so much it's amazing! I'm already grateful that we took these pictures, because you forget so quickly how tiny they really are! I am so blessed to have this sweet boy!!
